We have been blessed with an Education Center that was specifically designed for Sunday school, weekday Academy classes, and adult education. With 13 classrooms, a student study, a teacher lounge, and a Library (above thebookstore), our facility will serve us comfortably for years to come. We also have an exterior garden space (or two!) that students and teachers will develop over the coming year.
The main entrance into the building at the beginning and ending of the day is the west side of the Education Center, facing Canyon Crest.
Parking lots in front of the building and along the Temple are available for parents, visitors, and faculty.
The Library is accessible from the south entrance (the former bookstore entrance).
The teacher lounge is off limits for students. This is a relaxing space for teachers to grade, chat, eat meals, or prepare lessons between classes or after hours.
The former student lounge is now the “student study” (for grades 7-12 only). This is a quiet study area for students to eat brunch or lunch, socialize before or after classes — and study during Self-Directed Study Hall. Chairs, desks, a single couch, computers, fast Wifi, and other amenities make this a nice place for students to work.
Students may use the Study if they have a Study Pass. Continued possession of a Study Pass requires help with vacuuming, cleaning, turning on and off lights at the beginning and end of the school day, etc.
