Saint Andrew the First Called is one of the Twelve Apostles of our Lord. His name means “manliness” and in his simplicity and faith he became a pillar of the Church. He recognized that Jesus was the Christ and hastened to follow him. St. Andrew was a simple fisherman, not an intellectual like St. Paul or a man of letters like St. Luke. Nevertheless, he has chosen our humble parish, by the grace of God, as a site to found an Academy dedicated to his honor and veneration. We ask that his prayers may make us successful and grant us salvation, amen!
